She had meant for her human son to be a gift. A gift of reconciliation. But mankind didn’t want her extended hands, evidently. Jesus was crucified, the rest is history. Once he had ascended to Heaven and after the Church had been formally established around 600 AD, Dess left him in charge and went to Earth herself. Mission: to finally come to understand humanity and most importantly, to find out how it could all go so wrong.

It probably says a lot that she’s still here, none the wiser.
